Description : Terr'Ativa is an association that helps children from a 'favela' in Rio de Janeiro. It offers them teaching support after school. Terr'Active Association is its representative in France, thanks to which we were able to conclude our partnership with Terr'Ativa.

Place : Buenos Aires

Description : This Association was created in 1990 to fight poverty and AIDS. It works with kids, youngsters and their families in Buenos Aires.
Action against AIDS : education, prevention, health.
Children's Situation : poor children, people affected by HIV

Peru

Name : Bambins des bidonvilles
Place : Arequipa
Number of children : 70
Age : from 3 to 10 years old
Description : The goal of this association is to build and run a canteen and a kindergarten in an Alto Cayma shantytown in Arequipa, Perou.
Nowadays the 'Rayo de Sol' canteen and kindergarten welcome some 100 children of the shantytown in new premises that were opened on 2007 December 1st.

Description : CCD Thailand is an orphanage that care for disabled or orphaned children, either in its daycare center or in government houses for disabled people..

Cambodia

Name : Sok Sabay Centre for the Protection of Mistreated Children
Place : Phnom Penh
Number of children : 60
Age : from 5 to 15 years old
Description : Sok Sabay works on educating, protecting and caring for mistreated children.
Sok Sabay was one of the first associations to follow us. You can see our presentation booklet on their website.

Children's Situation : children deprived of safety and a stable environment, either since their birth or because of family problems.

India

Name : Juley - Enfants du Ladakh
Places: Diskit and Sumor, villages in the Nubra Valley (Ladakh region, state of Jammu-Kashmir in the extreme north of India)
Number of children : 120
Description : This association works in the domain of education: helping children to get an education through finding 'godparents', supporting education, culture and environment local projects (building and adaptating classrooms, presenting education methods to teachers...).
Children's Situation : Isolated children, with no access to education

Kenya

Name : Happy Home Orphanage
Place : Stella (Kenya)
Number of children : 32
Description : This association welcomes orphans in the Nyanza region in Kenya, not far from the border with Tanzania. «Happy Home Orphanage» works in the kenyan province that has been most affected by poverty and epidemics.
Children's Situation : Orphans, poor and ill-educated children.

Tanzania

Name : Le foyer Mkombozi
Place : Arusha (Tanzanie)
Description : Mkombozi (meaning "liberator" or "emancipator" in Swahili) is the leading child-focused agency in Tanzania's Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions.

Mkombozi is a home for 60 kids of the streets, mistreated and considerated like dogs in Tanzania. The association handles a building in Arusha and operates also in the streets of Moshi, at the bottom of Africa’s roof, the Kilimanjaro.
